CL Quarter Final Draw - Liverpool A Apr 4th - H Apr 10th

think somebody said UEFA returned 303 and 304,probably 3-400 left over the 2 blocks.

There's about 300 now left in 303/304.

By my reckoning there's about 1800 left in the 3rd Tier, the majority (about half) in the South Stand.
Less than 300 in the 2nd Tier
Less than 700 in the 1st Tier, by far the majority in 135/136/137 (500+available), in big blocks of seats towards the front of the stand.

In total there's about 2,800 to shift to sell out (including the returns from UEFA). The sold out signs should be going up over the weekend, which will be over a week before the game. For any Loserpool Echo reporters lurking, this will make your poxy "City struggling to sell out story" look a bit premature eh?

Think it's nearer 2000, but just my rough guess. Not bad for a dead rubber :)

It will sell out. But I don’t look at this type of thing as a negative. If the press want to spin it and the internet kids of other clubs lap it up then so be it. City don’t have tens of thousands of fans who get all giddy for the CL. I’m going, but still don’t get all worked up for The CL. If fans of other clubs do (and some City fans) then Good for them. I actually look forward to big prem games more than the CL games.

Despite all the jibes about plastic fans our support has stubbornly remained overwhelmingly mancunian and from the North West. We can't call upon thousands of tourists and JCLs like Liverpool and the Rags. Despite comments on here about tourists at London games etc the volume of glory-hunters and corporates is still very small. I go to most away matches and generally see the same faces I have seen for 40 years (sometimes with their offspring). Perhaps it will change in the future but we have not seen the full Chelsea affect yet.
Our fanbase is unique and passionate. No one else in world football has had a roller coaster like we have. We'll do our talking on the pitch next week.

Said this time and time again. I would rather have our hard-core fan base with empty seats than a ground full of tourists

Anyone got a link to Liverpool’s historic European cup attendances so I can shut up a giddy dipper on Facebook?
