Go to moneysavingexpert website and there is a full flow chart on how to do it. I have just received £1800 back from the HSBC. The letters and instructions are all on the site. DON'T pay for a company to do it as its a total rip off. All it will cost you is a price of a stamp.

Barclaycard have asked for a cheque for £1 to get docs back.
Was that £1800 the full amount you had paid or a settlement figure?

A friend of my sisters did this last year. Got £1520 back initially and thought it was fucking brilliant, then around 3 weeks after that they got 2 cheques. One for £10k and another for £5k. Needless to say they were rather happy!

A colleague of mine did this with her bank.
She phoned them up and said they had sold her insurance when she didn't need it, they looked into her account and gave her fuckin £16000, and no I haven't put in an erroneous 0.

I've never been daft enough to take out insurance on my loans and credit, so there's nothing for me to claim which I am actually pretty gutted about!

Bank have already knocked 2 grand off my outstanding loan with the promise of more
Do i have to Let PPi claim company know!
Am i tied into a contract that i cannot escape from??

i have claimed back almost £8000 for myself over last year and have now done about 20 claims for a few mates recently that are in the system...its no rocket science and if the banks owe you DO IT NOW!
