I used to watch the original series years ago, and enjoyed it. Maybe it did get past it's sell by date by the time they revamped it but the format in recent years just allowed Clarkson to be what he is; a boring, smug, self opiniated bag of air who thought anything that came out of his mouth was funny.
It wasn't. He was just predictable, particularly with the 'oooh look at me!! I'm just SO edgy!!'

And if not there will be TV stations queuing up down the street to get him to do another car show on their channel and the viewers will all follow.

The BBC are idiots, like him or not he is the breadwinner for the beeb, good luck with all of those salaries when they sack him.
