Starship Troopers. Don't think the makers intended it to be as funny as it was but for some reason I love it!

Never read the books so didn’t know what to expect. Only enjoyed the first film, the rest were a bit shit.

The other films didnt deliver on the humour in the book. Some of Robert A. Heinlein's other books have similar dark humour
