In my view (and I would emphasise my view) that is a very lazy list. It is almost like a compilation of 'ask random people in the street to name 20 novels' and them add them all up. I do feel that novels are like films, some of them carry on being very good and some are just so dated they can no longer be regarded in the same way. Just a personal view...
