He could easily have sent off Balotelli. Even I was getting wound up by his actions and was reaching for my red card. Surprised he came out in the second half frankly.

What for exactly?

Stop watching MotD, listening to the so called pundits, reading the papers and start thinking for yourself.

Balo got a joke of a yellow for an absolute nothing challenge and then got stuck in with a wonderfully timed tackle, cleanly but strongly winning the ball.

Easily sent off my arse!
Anyone watching that match yesterday was on tenterhooks wondering if mario was going to get sent off.

Only after he was booked for an absolute nothing tackle, as soon as mario is on a booking it's obvious everyone will be on tenterhooks mainly due to his stupid temperament tho

Watching the match at the stadium, the first yellow for Mario was justified late tackle end of!

His second offence was worse and should have been a yellow, had that been RVP all posters on here would have been up in arms that he had not been sent off.

Then Balotelli argues, and then he goes back for more at half time. Had Milner not been shown red earlier I have no doubt that Balotelli would have walked - I appreciate that says more about Clattenburg rather than City but IMHO that is a dead cert,

Time to get the blue tinted specs off and see the game objectively.

Only because of twats like Twattenburg, failing to apply the laws of the game in a fair and even handed manner, instead having one set of rules for Balo and another for everyone else.

Balo touches a players back from behind in a nothing challenge in the middle of the pitch and yup, yellow card.....West Brom player climbs all over Balo, dragging him down with his hand over his throat and yup, no yellow card.

Refs feel that they have to lay a marker down now and they dont, all they have to do is ref the game according to the laws, nothing more, nothing less.

-- Sun Oct 21, 2012 7:54 am --

It was a yellow because its Mario and no im not part of the agenda fantasists he's got himself a reputation, probably justified, and that's why he was booked. If Gareth Barry makes that challenge its not a booking.

Thats just the thing mate
They wont take their tinted glasses off.

Re: Clattenburg

Course it was a yellow.
Only problem I ever had with Clattenburg was when he bizarrely put his arm around Rooney when they were away at Wigan. On the flip side of that though he was also the ref of a game which saw United humiliated at home by one of their biggest rivals, and had a major role to play in that result by sending off Evans.

The ginger pig commits the same tackle 10 times a game, week in, week out yet rarely if ever does he get a yellow.

Why? Reputation, that's why and the same reason Balo gets a yellow, every fucking time.

Fuck all to do with refs applying the laws of the game in a fair way in my book!
