Clattenburg watch. The derby...

I thought he let them do as they pleased all game tbh, pretty standard refereeing against us where they were allowed to wrestle, pull back and tackle late without any fear of being punished. Fellaini and Rooney must have committed 4 or 5 certain yellow card offences, i'm only surprised that he even gave them one booking. I've no idea why people are even suggesting he Bravo tackle was a red card, but I guess the game has gone to the point where you aren't allowed tackles where you get the ball first and then don't follow through into people? The "handball" is bordering on laughable. Generally though he managed to avoid deciding the game and ruining it so by refereeing standards that would have to go down as a win for him.

Agree with all of this.

This all day long, despite apologists like frank having a go at fellow blues, again

If I knew how I would email that to The FA and ask what the procedure is for asking them to rule if that is violent conduct that was missed by the official .

You can email from their website but need to sign in to do so, either register or use Google or Facebook account. Unfortunately it takes too long and by time they get round to it the deadline will be missed. The only way to to send a letter guaranteed delivery and hop it gets there before Tuesday

No problem with Clattenburg today. Was fine.

Maybe should have booked Fellaini earlier than he did but that was about it.

It's actually written into the laws of the game that defenders should get the benefit of the doubt bar offsides and any aggressive 50/50 involving the keeper should be a free out apparently. That's from an LOI ref though so can't say it's 100%, most of them are round PL level.
0% actually. If one had to know the laws in order to post, this thread would be a lot shorter!

Yes, the "50/50" by Bravo could have been a penalty (a "lunge" with one foot is still a lunge) - but I'd excuse it on the grounds that it was against a player who (a) should already have had two yellows and (b) would probably have gone over the top himself if he hadn't been intimidated by Bravo's foot up.

I'd even give some credence to the claim that Oto stuck out his elbow for the second penalty shout but after the Sterling one last season there was no way he was giving that.

The Bailly on Oto one I've not seen in a decent replay but it was never a straight red. We had two in the first half we might have had - block on Iheanacho and fellaini on Nolito.

Apart from not giving Rooney a yellow sooner there were at least two cases where he played advantage after bad fouls and didn't book them at the next break in play.

And his hand signals were as confusing as ever.

Still, not the bent fest we expected and it was quite gratifying to come out and hear rags moaning about him!

Agree. I'm reading a few comments saying we got away with it? I didn't think it was anywhere near a penalty. 50/50 both had their feet up as the ball was bouncing. Looked to me like bravo went with his instep and won the ball.

Hand on heart if that had been de gea on Silva how would this thread have gone. Do you honestly think Clattenburg would of been given credit. He'd of been hung out to dry.

Anyway he had a good game except which does seem a trend among refs letting Rooney do as he likes.

He could have given a couple of decisions against us that would have changed the outcome but he didn't so overall thats good. However, it still makes my piss boil that he is so inconsistent in the way he referees fouls. David, first foul, yellow card. Rooney and Bog brush multiple infringements before they are booked. Both should have been off the pitch if consistent decisions were being made. Both of them are really horrible excuses for human beings.
