I've tried ignoring this thread in the past because it seemed a bit over the top and like some posters just wanted to slag off Bravo before giving him a chance.
The way I see it now is the playing out from the back is brilliant, I love it and can see the more we practise the better it will become so I can completely understand why we brought him in. That all said, I don't think there is any hiding the fact he's looking like the Kolarov version of a goalkeeper, shits himself about getting his shorts dirty or maybe getting hit by the ball.
Yes when it clicks it is the most beautiful football ever seen and every second is a joy to watch. The thing with this league is that many of the scouts here puts priority on how to read players including keepers. I guess that's why midtable teams can be so competitive. It became common knowledge in the scouting circle that Hart's weakness is the low left shot. Already in Torino he has let in 5 shots in low left. Last season for City, 25% of the goals he conceded were low left shot. In fact, the first goal that he conceded last season was a long range low left shot on the 6th minute by Moses in the 1-2 loss against Westham. The same spot to his left. He never ever shook this off. What he did shake off was conceding goals on far corners and posts. He used to concede these when under the coaching of Massimo Battara. But when Mancisidor took over, Hart never conceded a top corner shot for two seasons. Differnt coaches bring different skills to the table.
Bravo would benefit from a new coach or new coaching approach to improve his reaction and speed. Mancisidor was Bravo's coach in Real Sociedad so there is a danger of collusion where both coach and keeper are only focusing on what both already know, but I highly doubt this is the case. Hart had the advantage of being coached by a series of reactionary and classical keeper coaches. He had the best of Battara and Mancisidor. Bravo's is less diverse with Mancisidor and Pep and I think a coach called Llumo? All of them share the same football approach.
