Claudio Bravo - 2016/2017 performances (continued)

It looks to me like some people want him to fail.

I certainly don't want him to fail, quite the opposite in fact. As I'm sure most City fans don't, bar a few in this thread who would prefer to be vindicated.

The goal conceded today was pretty awful once again though. His distribution was good, but there's no excuse for letting that one in. It's odd, because he's obviously a highly competent keeper - you don't achieve what he has in his career, with both Barca and Chile if not - but it's just not working out for him at City.

I think Caballero's error for the first at Chelsea was equally bad, so there's no quick fix this season. It's patently obvious there will be a new number one next season though.

Barcelona must be laughing all the way to the bank. 17mln for Bravo. he has been shocking. From his debut to now. He just cannot stop shots.

Why some still try and convince otherwise is beyond me. Nice bloke he might be. Lacking confidence he may be. A great link player and with his feet he is.

But he cannot stop shots. Has been a very expensive mistake.

He's not an expensive mistake. There's an equal chance you get 75% of a players quality that you'll get 125%. In this case it might have gone so low as 50% :( ... Case in point KDB this year versus last year. Don't buy for one second that this has been a mistake financially or in the transfer as a whole. I will say that it's a results oriented game and that a new keeper will come. He's not as bad as he's appears. c'est la vie

Like, i think it was Zin said earlier, what he has done is help teach the team Guardiola's way, and if playing out from the goalie is so important to Pep, and Bravo has helped teach the team how to do that, then he's not been that bad a buy.

just a shame he can't save shots for shit.

Can't seem to save anything which is less than ideal for a goalie ;)
I wouldn't be surprised if he's still here next season though as number 2. If he accepts that that is. We NEED a new number 1.
