Claudio Bravo Injury - Muric Recalled from NAC Breda

Gunn we actually sold though, Muric is on loan and can be recalled as required.

I'm not sure why you keep acting like the two are the same and Grimshaw is our inly option.

how do you know he can be recalled?

That's not necessarily true.

At some point, you have to respect that your young employees are entitled to have careers in football, which may not suit our first team 100% but otherwise will mean no young players will ever sign for us in the future.

that is true but what is the option if ederson picks up a red card or gets a injury himself ?? the young EDS lad is now 2nd choice and the youth team keeper 3rd choice, that is not good even for a short spell you are gambling on your main man ederson to be superman, a free out of contract player covers all the gaps and takes the pressure off all the little things that could happen

Bravo seems a nice guy and he did well in the preseason and in the cups last year .....but..... I think most people would have loved a new 2nd keeper before the window shut who had the "Pep" requisites and preferably was English (I had hoped that was Gunn so was disappointed to see him go and even more so now).

That said the new guy could have been injured in training too.

Is is possible to re-sign Gunn on 1/1/19 :-)

It's no worse than most of the options we have ever had in the past tbh. Most of our 3rd keepers have not really been viable. Most of our 2nd keepers haven't been genuinely very good in my time as a City fan.

Bravo is/was a far better no2 keeper than most teams in this league have, in spite of the slagging he gets on here.

it could be a big blow to ederson game play and the gamble of playing outside of the box knowing a big mistake and you could be off, so maybe he will have to hold back and stay in the box a little more and maybe the back line of the defence will have to drop back 10 yards or the last thing we need is ederson picking up a injury, so a free out of contract back up keeper must be signed to cover all options and take the pressure of the your lad if things go from bad to worst

We can't change our entire game plan all for the sake of wrapping Ederson in cotton wool. That would hurt us far more over the course of a season than taking the relatively small risk entailed by us playing the usual way. What you're suggesting doesn't eliminate the chance of injury anyway so we may as well carry on as we are. Hopefully we can recall Muric.

Wryly amused at how some who have spent time slagging Bravo off are now panicking. Reality is that a back up keeper is never going to be a brilliant one, otherwise they'd be playing somewhere. Bravo isn't bad at all, and it's taken an injury to make that obvious.

Whoever City end up with, it's not going to be remotely as good as Bravo. The irony.
