He actually looks younger this year than he did then!
I think he's dyed his hair. Noticeably less gray this season. That and he's lost a few pounds again, fuckers got that extra yard of pace he had at the start of last season. Himself and Sterling are definitely in the 'keep it up this season you cunts' group.

Does anyone know if Joe will be definitively cup tied if he plays tomorrow? Some seem to think yes and others say no.

100% not cup tied.

UEFA CL regulations, article 42.07:

42.07
As a rule, a player may not play in a UEFA club competition (i.e. UEFA Champions
League and UEFA Europa League, but not UEFA Super Cup) for more than one
club in the course of the same season. Exceptionally, however, a player who has
been fielded in the first, second, third qualifying round or the play-offs of the
UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League is entitled to play in the UEFA
Champions League or UEFA Europa League for another club as from the group
stage.
Moreover, as from the start of the round of 16, a player can be registered in
accordance with Paragraph 44.01to Paragraph 44.04. A substitute player who has
not been fielded is entitled to play for another club competing in the UEFA
Champions League or UEFA Europa League in the course of the same season,
provided that he is registered with the UEFA administration in accordance with
the present regulations.

Cheers! I expect he will get his swan song tomorrow then.

According to this article, Joe would be cup-tied to our squad if he plays tomorrow and we then move on to the group stages.
Christ if that is right we don't want Joe playing tomorrow if he wants CL football at his next club. Didn't know that I thought there was a new list following qualifiers and that's it. Thanks for sharing that. I hope our admins have their shit together and we don't fuck up any interest in Joe as I don't think it will help for this to drag on.

His departure will be easier for me than "Barnes and Owen" to WBA in 1979ish.

It wasn't just those two, though was it. Big Dave Watson, Asa, Kiddo, Joe Royle & Dennis Tueart were also told that thère services were no longer required, shortly after "Big Mal's second coming in 1979.

Malcolm Allison, was, is, and will always remain, an absolute City legend, in my eyes, for all the successes he helped us achieve the 60's.... And ensuring that the rags got more than their fair share of hefty kicks up the arse, en route.

But even I have to admit, that the ruthless dismantling of a squad, that had come within a gnat's gnadger of pipping the candle dippers to the title, a year or so earlier, and replacing the departees with. the likes of Steve Daley, Micheal Robinson, Paul Sugrue & Barry Silkman, was foolhardy in the extreme. The mere memory of it, still makes me wince, even now.

I've finally read through all 204 pages up to this point and I don't think for once I've seen anyone mention that Claudio Bravo came into Barca replacing one Victor Valdes who just might be a legend in his own right. So he has some experience there dealing with stepping in and making his mark following the leaving of a club legend. He's now since made it to the point where Barca fans weren't quite ready to see him leave just yet.

It's truly sad to see so many posters in this thread try to look for any old thing to try to pick out a fault before he even has his first interview with us. Even worse that it's coming from so many who don't even watch him/Barca/La Liga.

Love it

About 6ft, not exactly short but below the premier league average of 6ft3. Just the Andy Carol and Ibrahimovic types we might need to guard against, shame Mangala doesn't have technical skills because physically he could do that job against any player we needed to.
In before a post about Barcelona, but fuck me, I haven't calculated the averages yet, but it feels like we went from one of the Prem's tallest teams under Mancini (if not the tallest), to one of the shortest teams right now.

Exactly, we don't have any player over 6 ft outside of our defense. Meanwhile the rags have tall players from keeper to ST

not sure anything will announced today with the game being on and by the sounds of it hart in goals? would be a weird situation imo and we will have it all official tomorrow.
