BUT there are rumours that Hart has been disruptive inside the dressing room in the past and, maybe PG is a little uncomforable with these
Interesting.

I wasn't aware of this.

Joe clearly wants to win. Is his disruptive attitude down to this - e.g., getting in the face of perceived slackers?

If so, I perceive this as a plus. Too many in the City shirt seemed to be mailing it in last season - playing just to collect a pay check, no caring whatsoever about how well the team did.

The issues, as I see it, are:
1. They are both good shot stoppers.
2. Neither are good at catching the ball.
3. Bravo distributes the ball to colleagues much quicker and has a better touch with the ball.
4. Maybe Hart can develop better and quicker "ball" skills over time.

BUT there are rumours that Hart has been disruptive inside the dressing room in the past and, maybe PG is a little uncomforable with these. Whatever the truth about these rumours Hart is certainly quick to talk to the press nowadays and this maybe be a further worry to the management.
For what it's worth, I wouldn't be sorry to see Bravo (or other similar) start as first choice with maybe Rulli in a few years. Only my opinion

Where did these rumours originate?

I don't think he's any better than Joe, and IMO anyone coming in to replace Joe should be a level above him.

I don't think there are many goalkeepers better than Joe in the world, especially not any that are available, so to be honest I'd be underwhelmed if we replaced him at all this summer.

Gen question then.. Why do you think we are in for him?

It's all over CityWatch (for example).

And barring that, it's just reasonable. Pep has always played with a sweeper. Joe is OK but not excellent on the ball. So even if you rate Joe as a world class stopper - IMO he was world class last year for us - you've got to ask yourself what Pep will do. IMO, Pep will seek to replace Joe.

If Pep doesn't want Joe then he should be used in the Stones deal.
Everton would have him like a shot
Yup. But that's assuming that Pep can sign a suitable sweeper. Barca seem to be extremely reluctant to let either TS (probably Pep's first choice) or Bravo go.

I honestly don't know but I heard that Hart has been causing problems even when Manchini was around from people talking in the ground at matches and in Mary D's before games. I have no way of checking any of these and there maybe no truth to them but they were made over a period of time and as such made me think that was more to the topic than just Hart's " catching and distribution" problems which all can see. I hope that these " rumours" are completely false and if so sorry for the comments.

Glad we cleared that up then.......apology accepted.....but please refrain from posting unfounded allegations in future, cheers.

I struggle with your description of him being WC when you admit he is not excellent on the ball. If Pep is looking to replace him, that should tell you he isn't WC.

Don't get me wrong, Joe is a fantastic keeper, but IMO he is not WC. Maybe pep can iron out those flaws he has.

Bravo successfully distributed the ball from his feet in open play 552/635(83 unsuccessful) times whilst Joe was successful 247/441(194 unsuccessful) times.

Overall Hart was the 8th best distributor of the ball in the premier league whilst Bravo was no1 in the world

And no premier league experience, getting rid of joe makes zero sense

Wouldn't think that would be much of an issue. The Keeper is going to have to play Pep's style. Theoretically it should be easier on Bravo to step into that than Hart.

De Gea was terrible his first year here and we know about willy, both great before,Pep is not on the field with an unfamiliar back 4 in front of him,it's a risk we just don't need to take until we see what joe can do

A keeper need not be excellent with the ball at his feet to be world class.

Take for example, de Gea. Absolutely world class for me. Top 4 for sure, maybe better.

But de Gea is awful with the ball at his feet and his distribution is so-so. Hart is better with the ball at his feet and as of the past year and 1/2 or so, is at least as good at de Gea with distribution.

Is there any news on Bravo or its just people fighting over Joe vs Bravo. I believed it is a transfer thread ??

I remember him being class in the 2014 WC for Chile, watch Barca games now and again but can't honestly say I see him get tested a lot.

This is probably hyperbole - but... - I've heard that Bravo is Barca's best player on the ball in terms of passing under pressure - better than Messi or Inesta.

Frankly I don't believe this... but yeah... Bravo is an amazing passer.

I have no probs if that is your definition.

For me, for someone to be truly WC, they should excel in all aspects of their position.
For a keeper, I would suggest these would include and others may have a differing list

Shot stopping
Command of box
Saving (obviously)
Strong in either direction
Ball control
Catching
Communication
Distribution

I don't see Joe in excelling in all of these so, in my mind, I could not rank him as WC but see why others might
