Bit OTT that. He's done a good job for us over the time he's been with us and I wish him well wherever he ends up but players come and go, it's the nature of modern football.

Not so much modern football. I remember the dissapointment when players left in the 70s. I also remember how angry the fans were when Tony Book sold Marsh but it was soon forgotten as the team improved.

True enough, I can remember the coach journey to the away game following Rodney's transfer listing and a lot of the fans on there wanted Book out.

apparently today his last game for Barca and then he signs for City
