Clear and obvious

That's why we need to get our shit together and win every game from now on to piss on their parade.

lucky that the whole of the premier league is up in the air at the moment and teams finding it hard to put 3 or 4 wins together. we will get our shit together and the injuries can not keep happening to us and players will come back

but its them big games vs liverpool and united that VAR will always give them the upper hand. city must go into them games with our best 11 to stand a chance because we will get nothing going our way with VAR

Not sure that's happening this season.

We saw an obvious handball not given in the build up to a goal for West Ham and BT Sport were 100% complicit in the cover up.

Wonder how much BT/Sky stand to make if the season comes down to a tightly contested Rag's/Dipper's title run in?

The problem is that we didn't see an obvious handball as BT Sport chose not to show an angle that would prove it was a handball. What they did show was a still shot that made it look like handball and then another still which showed it wasn't. Why was there no forensic look at the goal? Mind you according to the 'expert' Peter Walton, even if it was handball the goal still would have counted as it was from a different phase of the game which is utter bollocks. But why, if it was handball, are the club not making more of a fuss. Dippers still going on about Pickford a week later...

Not taking anything away from the strike. It was great strength and technique, and deserved a goal - but it WAS HANDBALL in the build up. Walton said it was an 'optical illusion', and it wasn't handball.

As for a different phase of the game, bullsh*t. It was a few seconds before the goal in the same attacking move.

The initial replay where it was shown to hit his hand was only shown once, and subsequent replays and analysis always stopped a few frames short of the ball hitting his hand.

BT are CLEARLY COMPLICIT.

Old Mother Riley(OMR) said last season that he would be taking no notice of ‘clear and obvious’ but would be applying the ‘clear and obvious’ rules. Hence shirt sleeves and toe nails are in....for some and out for others.

We got Walton the sack. He won’t say or do anything that benefits us.

I have played the handball back on slow mo. It was as blatant as they come. The West Ham player controlled the ball with his hand. The players even stopped for a moment expecting it to be blown up. Walton said it was an "optical illusion". You can only assume he is involved in some sort of cover-up. They froze the frame after the player had handled it.

I have real sympathy with the referee in the Maguire v Chelsea incident. To those watching at home on the TV it was an obvious penalty because we could dwell on the look of agony on the Chelsea lad's face and the fact that Maguire was actually using the same stranglehold which decided the 1992 middleweight Judo gold medal. To the ref none of this was "clear and obvious" for one simple reason, and that is that Chelsea were playing in blue. In cases like this the ref has instructions to study both players' faces and though it was clear to us that the Chelsea lad had been strangled until he was blue in the face from ear to ear this was not clear to the ref because of the reflection of the blue kit in the lights. So VAR were perfectly correct not to review the decision.

Its how they manipulate results.
Opposition should have a penalty v Rags, Ref ignores it as usual and Var wont over rule him using the not clear and obvious (Though v Chelsea if was so bloody obvious but shows the level of corruption) so they get away with it.
Say the exact same incident then happens in the Rags favour. Now 99% ref gives a penalty even if its not and if the ref does not give it VAR will be straight on it to say it is and if the ref gives it incorrectly for the Rags ie Skippy at Villa, its still allowed as not a clear and obvious error.
They can use this per every game
