Surprised our resident wet spam fan hasn't pitched up on here yet to put everyone straight regarding VAR..

Anyone with an ounce of football intelligence can see right through what's going on..

The game of football survived over 125 years without VAR..

Shit happened back then, no doubt about that but it's off the fkin scale since VAR pitched up..

The game has been completely ruined by this corrupt system that basically should be simple to utilise but in reality clouded in secrecy..

Too much money to be won and lost in the modern game which without doubt cannot be left to chance..

We are being told that mistakes, bad calls and game by game inconsistencies are down to VAR still bedding in..

What a load of bollocks..

The handball rule changes weekly and has already cost us a penalty at Leeds and a goal at West Ham..

If it's not ready to implement it should be withdrawn until such time it is..

Rugby and cricket video assistance works a treat..

Fair, fan inclusive and acceptable. A true referee / umpire aid..

I don't recall these sports having to go through an overly excessive bedding in period before video assistance was deemed to be working correctly ..

The twats that are overseeing VAR must think the average football fan is brain dead..

Hiding away in a darkened room, not having to explain decisions from one week to the next is rife for manipulation and abuse..

The excitement of seeing your team score a goal has been completely taken away from the fans..

Every goal is now analysed and play rewound to look for a reason to disallow it, usually dependant on who's actually scored it..

Nothing can be accurately measured, everything is subjective and can be explained away by fools like Gallagher and Walton by regurgitating the piss poor excuses, such as..

'Nothing in it'
'Contact in the area was too soft'
'A case there of ball to hand'
'I can see why it's been given / not given'

The money grabbing bastards have managed to suck all the enjoyment, excitement and passion out of the game..

I don't recognise the game that I grew up watching anymore..

Without, passion, fairness, excitement and trust, the game of football is fucked..!

Strange how they've used of picture of with Chris Smalling playing for United - did he ever play a game in this country under VAR rules?

They just wanted any old picture as long as it’s Utd.
It could could have quite easily been a picture of the class of 90 whenever it fucking was ffs!

Its how they manipulate results.
Opposition should have a penalty v Rags, Ref ignores it as usual and Var wont over rule him using the not clear and obvious (Though v Chelsea if was so bloody obvious but shows the level of corruption) so they get away with it.
Say the exact same incident then happens in the Rags favour. Now 99% ref gives a penalty even if its not and if the ref does not give it VAR will be straight on it to say it is and if the ref gives it incorrectly for the Rags ie Skippy at Villa, its still allowed as not a clear and obvious error.
They can use this per every game

Exactly this the rules are like open ended,we have seen goals scored and not being overturned yet the same can happen the following day/week and that is overturned,it’s all about manipulation no way is a team going to run away with the league anymore while VAR is here they will want a nail biting climax to the end of season now..

That's exactly how it feels Trevor, no accountability, subjective calls and game manipulation all wrapped up in the illusion that is VAR..

My season card cost me £755.00 last season..

Not nearly as much as many pay for sure but not a small amount by any means..

There were times last season when I sat there and thought WTF is going on..

Witness a goal and immediately look at the linesman, referee and then the big screen to see 'VAR Checking'..

The passion which is probably the biggest part of watching football has been sucked out of the game..

Football is a big part of many people's lives..

You grow up supporting your team from a young age..

Your chosen team are guaranteed your lifetime investment in emotion, passion, pride and loyalty..

Supporting your team follows you to your grave..

Football does this to you, it's like no other sport..

However, it now feels to me that it's moving away from the fans and is becoming more of a business..

We joke about what time during a game will the rags be awarded a penalty..

Invariably they get a penalty and even though some are penalties it doesn't distract from the fact that they have have benefitted from an abnormal amount of penalty decisions over the last 18 months..

Too much money up for grabs doesn't lend itself to a level playing field competition, especially when there's a unquestioned tool in place to ensure league positions can be manipulated over a 38 game season..!
