There is a reason he plays for Fulham and has for a good while. It's because he's a lower/mid table player. Top 6 clubs haven't exactly been knocking down the door to sign him have they ? Again, there's good reason for that IMO

Tim Cahill played at Millwall for a while until Moyes had the bollox to take a chance.......

Dempsey causes problems against any opposition not just 'lesser' teams.

And Cahill plays for a team that sits mid table and scored his first goal in a year last week. Again, top 6 clubs aren't breaking a leg to sign him up. I do understand what your saying, And a couple of years ago, I'd have agreed with you. I just think we"re in a different place now and Dempsey wouldn't even make the bench unless we were wrecked by injuries.

In fairness, I wouldn't have Vas Te or Dempsey, but if forced to take one, it'd be Vas Te based on potential..... It's a bit like saying I'd rather break my arm than my leg though........

If I've translated correctly, my right arm remains intact, very useful for all sorts of things. Anyway , where's FI gone ?, obviously given up on Dempsey.......every cloud, silver lining and all that.....

Certainly a player who would have fit the bill in January who would have made a huge difference to our run in.Vastly under rated and deserves a chance in a better team.

Clint Dempsey is Drogba-like in his development. He played at University level until he was 22 years old, meaning he didn't turn professional until 22! Dempsey would be a tremendous player anywhere.

Its unfortunate he didn't get a shot earlier with a bigger club but the truth is he has come into an amazing run of form for Fulham in the last 24 months. He is probably best suited to play in Italy or somewhere with a slower more consigned buildup. The top half of the Premier League outside of City is incredibly fast. Dempsey's first touch and pass aren't too great. But he tries the impossible and finds/creates tons of space for himself in Martin Jol's buildup.

Could he be worth an 8 mill bid? Yeah. But no sense wasting our time or his as he won't displace our attacking options.

he has been amazing for fulham but i dont think he can fit in for us because he is the main man!!
