Being replaced by Sam Matterface. Not taking it too well.
As soon as I saw the news I expected it to be announced Matterface would get the gig.
ITV sexing up their FA Cup coverage next year with Alex Scott anchoring it.
In my mind it’s all about the advertising and promoting. Matterface uses SM to promote himself and the brands he works for. Crimson Clive is a traditional football commentator. He does his job and goes home.

What a weird statement. He had been doing that job for about 20 years hasnt he? It's not a bad run is it? If he's that good I'm sure another channel will offer him a way out, ITV can't be happy with him.
I think he had too. As he said himself other employers were asking very intrusive questions about him to possibly get rid.

They need a voice to match Tyler. I think he fits the bill better than “Forest fan” fletcher and Iain “Hope a Man City get gubbed when I’m commentating” Darke.

Regardless, I don't see why anyone sees being a commentator on ITV as worthy, they do about 3 games a year.
