They’ve got FA Cup/CL highlights/England internationals and the euros next season. Their highest amount of programming for years.

just give it to Peter Drury, it's bizarre he isn't first choice.

i get the impression Drury prefers freelance because he doesn’t ever come across with an agenda. He’s like Barry Davies and just talks about the match and not how good the latest rag in the media gaze is.

Heres the remuneration package, now all you need to do is sign here and

just a quick reminder of those contractual requirements, continue to mention

that wonderful night in Barcelona during every CL game, regardless of who is

playing and whenever City are playing always scream out aloud if the opposition

score and when City score, remember to keep voice to a barely audible murmer.

As soon as I saw the news I expected it to be announced Matterface would get the gig.

ITV sexing up their FA Cup coverage next year with Alex Scott anchoring it.


In my mind it’s all about the advertising and promoting. Matterface uses SM to promote himself and the brands he works for. Crimson Clive is a traditional football commentator. He does his job and goes home.

I didn’t realise ITV has FA Cup games next season. I thought it was still BBC and BT.

I'm sure he commentated on City 10 Huddersfield 1 back in 1987 but maybe that was just for regional Granada.
