I really like it.
I applaud the supporter involvement. However, the badge design (not the elements themselves) is bad and the haste of its creation poses two questions: 1) did they already have this finished prior to the consultation (and so it was used to justify what they already had rather than direct their work) or 2) they did in fact base the badge on the outcome of voting but didn't bring in the proper design team or give them enough time to create an elegant, future-proof, professional badge with the gravitas necessary for our great club.I think the shield was an element fans voted for. I didn't but I'm happy the eagle has gone in fairness. The club were never going to please everyone. I think its a shame their are so many negative view points on here. The club made an effort & included fans. They need to be applauded for making the effort. I'm not including you in this but their are loads of posts in this thread that imply the club have made a mistake. The reality is fans views differ and there are lots of positive views too.
Me too.I really like it.
I like it. Shame the eagle's gone, but hey ho.
So, doing the maths, thousands of people gave input, there is one design that is probably not like any single person really, really wanted, and thousands of people are slagging it off.
I guess the sun is still rising in the east. Thank goodness for that.
FWIW, it is a vast improvement on the eagle and star nonsense, very similar to the previous one, while also fitting in nicely with the CFG branding.
No brainer.
The Eagle was part of the badge during the most significant period of the club's history, won far more than with the sodding RED rose and was worn on finals' kit which the rose never was. So on the basis of your argument then 16 years shouldn't be discarded as it reflects the history of the club. The rivers have never not been on the badge the only thing that has returned symbol wise is the rose sticking there like a red sore thumb
Me too.
