Club Badge (merged)

I'm genuinely shocked. I thought the majority would love the new badge... It looks class. Retro yet modern and very clean.

Interestingly, I would say the badge is most certainly not classy or modern. Is it clean, I think it's a bit of a mess.

I don't mind the elements used, it's the execution of it that's the issue. To me looks like it's be done by someone with a passing interest in PowerPoint.

I would bet that it 20 years we will just be known internationally as City. I think Football Club or FC is superflous. I expect we will be much more than a football club.

See with the Shield inside the circle it loses prominence, I think the alternative is modern and really emphasises the shield, which I like.

I'd like a touch of maroon, and F.C. on the badge, but other than that. I just wish the club would pay such attention to our kits. It's a 5 minute meeting to make them right.

Which is what I don't personally like about it. The shield is the focal point.

The round badge that they've emphasised in the teaser campaign now serves as the background to what looks like the Blue Peter badge.

here you go, in the style of the other ones i did, you decide ...

I actually think having the 18 94 in sky blue looks better for couple of reasons.
First of all it adds a little bit of sky blue to our badge And now that they're sky blue they are just a nice small detail. This also makes your eye focus more on the Manchester City bit.

And I think we should only add FC down there, not the whole football club.

Don't understand the obsession of some fans with fc or football club it's stating the bleeding obvious. As a brand in the football sphere we are Manchester City you don't hear of Real Madrid 'football club' or Liverpool 'football club' it's truly small time if you need to describe what your brand or club represents. As I've stated I was majorly against a round badge and the rose but I look at the badge and I can't help but like it.

We have top top people running our football club. Just accept they know better.

Yet both teams have references to "football club" in their badge so are they small time or not?

Real (see what I did there!?) Have a very obscure fc in their badge it's not 'spelt out' in its entirety, similarly Liverpool new kits simply have a liver bird with L FC again not the full name spelt out. When you talk about both teams you simply need to say Liverpool or Real and the inference is clear, people automatically know what your talking about. I could understand if it was just MCFC but manchester city football club spelt out is old hat. Much prefer just 'Manchester City' other examples Ac Milan simply 'milan' inter milan simply 'inter' and I could go on...

To me it's just sentimentality and people struggling to let go of the past who want the description of Manchester City football club being on the badge. Move on.

I am looking at other club badges .. Ac Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and the list goes on and on.
All their badges include FC or AC (Associazione Calcio).. The only c***s that I know removed Football Club from their badge are the rags, "for branding reason" ..
