from a designer's perspective, I always want perfection. From a fan's perspective, I don't know what I want now.

Someone also pointed out they've worn the word Manchester and football club, so it was suggested all we'd be left with that was 'ours' was the stars and the word City.

It's a tricky business this badge consultation but, as I keep saying, get your views in to City through the consultation channels. This is a great opportunity and if you care passionately about any aspect of the badge then let them know. City are doing stuff here that no other club has done, so let's support them by ensuring they get as wide a cross section of support as they can.

Totally agree and applaud the club for involving us fans

Me personally I love my Manchester and I love City, I have a tattoo of the shield and wear the old style pin badge but never the new current badge mainly because of the badge being round.

For me the ship and the stripes for the 3 rivers are a must as is the badge being round and this has gone into my views to the club.

Yes we are part of Lancashire but we are predominantly Mancunian and my love is for my home not the county

No disrespect Gav, but this is exactly the kind of design I desperately hope we don't end up with.

Squeezing as many "symbols" from the questionaire on to the badge as possible.

Trying to be all things to all men.

Design by committee.

Your original design with the ship and 3 river shield is perfect.

Even those who voted for the rose or the cross or the 1894 or whatever, must surely recognise that a more simplified design works so much better, even if their favourite symbol isn't included.

no disrespect felt ... exactly the response its meant to create ... there are so many variations because of all the elements, there will never be a perfect badge, Everyone's perfect badge will probably be different ... so unless we start with something completely new or decide on elements that are core elements, it will be a futile quest.

Sums my thoughts as well. Needs to be a simple modern design, pretty much like the one above.

personally the rose badge was always my favourite but through this I am begining to prefer the original badge from 30's onwards. As for eagle thought it was shite when we got it, have gotten used to it being around but won't miss is if it goes
