So, the ship, rivers, 1894 AND rose?
How about adding the stars, eagle AND latin, just to make sure we cover everything?
Would be funny if they unveiled it on the big screens before the Sunderland match and it was so bad everyone just booed.

They promissed "Cityzens" a first look so expect an email early morning to all season card holders and Blue / Cityzens members, which no doubt will be picked up by media and MEN and the rest will publish articles on their websites during the morning sometime as well ... by the time game kicks off, pretty much everyone would have seen it is my guess.
A short video about the process and consultation and how all Cityzens were involved in reaching it and the design process and some early sketches might be shown before the game or during half time at the game then :)

Totally agree with this. It's like they've got a management consultant to design the badge instead of a graphic designer - "find out the most popular symbols and include as many as possible, thus ensuring maximum happiness." Bullshit.
The symbols need context to mean something. The 3 rivers are just 3 lines when on their own. It's only when they are in a sheild with a ship on top that that have any meaning or context. They need to be in a shield like on the CoA, and every badge we've ever had. 3 lines outside of a shield mean nothing.
Now I am expecting an absolute horror of a badge. 4 symbols inside a circle like Melbourne. Ship top left, 3 stripes top right, 1894 bottom left, red rose bottom right. That's not a City badge, it's a primary school child getting over excited with a packet of stickers.

So that's ship, rivers, 1894, and red rose all confirmed. Perhaps the desigers have been inspired by Pellegrini to shoe horn a load of icons in to positions that don't suit them? #Holistic

Yes, there is a danger they're trying to shoehorn too much in. I still think it will look good though. Branding is hugely important to City, and they're not going to produce a monstrosity.

Guys just saw Leicester's badge and thought the red rose could be like they have a big fucking flower in the background behind the fox inside the circle ...
