Club Brugge (H) - CL - Post-Match Thread

No one is denying he's a polarizing player.. but cmon- from a tactical standpoint he put's the team in some very bad positions, caught gets caught out of position constantly or just gives the ball away. I think these things can be worked on but on the whole I prefer Zinchenko, personally.
Cancelo offers loads more than Zinchenko I'm afraid.

I like Zinc but Cancelo is in a different league to him.

He needs to be put in the midfield or aoemthing. So much to offer going forward, not so much defending

For this game, happiest for Sterling for his goal. Can see from the celebration that it meant a lot for the others for Sterling to score that because Sterling himself wasn’t that elated for the goal.

Confidence player who’s lacking some self belief or demotivated by something that happened off the field. But after he scored there were clear glimpses of the Sterling that scored 20 in a season.

I’ll play him before Grealish at this point. Grealish needs time to figure out his role in this team and he can try that out in less volatile games. I’ll start Sterling for the derby.

Three assists every day of the week.

Started really well but after we scored we were sloppy in the first half. Totally bossed it second half. Now top the group after PSG only drew.

Palmer looked lively when he came on.

Hopefully Walker is OK as he looked like he was limping when he went off, apart from that it was a good night.

Im so sorry but we r better team without Grealish...he needs time, maybe next season... happy to see Sterling back to score,so Jesus... and finally, Palmer is the future...!!!

We look good when we have space which Brugge started to give us. The problem with packed defences is still the concern. Not sure we can read loads into that game tbh.

Their young striker looked good.
agreed on both takes. thought both fullbacks were good too.
