But would we have won the game if we started with who you said because if we were 0-1 down and only could bring Gundo et-al on we’d be screwed , surely you need a game changer on the bench like Savinho, Doku etcThat should be the last time Gundo starts a match. It won't be because Pep has his favourites and is stubborn but he is way past it.
The first half was just awful. He was struggling to get back every time they attacked.
The 2nd half was the team that should have started
Why would you bring Gundo on?But would we have won the game if we started with who you said because if we were 0-1 down and only could bring Gundo et-al on we’d be screwed , surely you need a game changer on the bench like Savinho, Doku etc
What was Pep doing?
Sav was obvious from the start, why play Gundogan?
Needs to get his head from up his arse and play the team that picks itself.
Glad he seen the light and now we go on to hopefully pummel Bayern or Real.
Silly us taking an old legend back. Sentiment should not be a basis for signing players. He’s an employee. He plays when he is he fit and available to play and is told he’s playing
Spot on colbee its fucking shocking. You'd have thought we had lost tonight, some of these comments are outrageous, there's some entitled fans on this forum
he fetched Gundo off to make sure he doesn't get injured before the Arsenal game. That first half was one of the most boring, pathetic, pointless 45 minutes of football I’ve watched in a long, long time.
Strange selection again. Just poor all round. Worryingly, I’m not convinced Pep would have changed it at that point had we gone in nil nil.
Anyway, the tweaks made at half time and more importantly the withdrawal of Gundo for Savinho made the difference.
A very forgettable game, but an important win. We’re going to get smashed to pieces playing like that in the playoffs.
Hopefully Reuben will be back, stones can stay fit and Pep starts savinho on the left.
The first half was a negative. It was the umpteenth time we have seen, with our own eyes, how easy it is for the opposition to counter and score whilst we create nothing from huge sideways possession on the edge of the oppos area. We have seen once again the same tired legs selected with younger fresher legs benched or out of position. On a game that was deemed a must win. This is not a one off. And ‘the greatest manager’ himself, also thankfully saw his fuck up and changed it. However this isn’t the first time he’s made this disaster of a team selection, he’s far too keen to select old legs this season and it’s not hard to see. Yes, coming from behind is always a good thing but I’d argue we should never of been in that position in the first place. We were lucky it was Brugge. Arsenal, Madrid, Munich et al will destroy us with that first half set up and a few teams lesser than that have already. See Bournemouth, spurs at home. The worry is it’s very obvious even to a lamen. That’s what worries a fair few blues, that and the fact it seems to keep happening.Just read the last 10 pages of this thread.
Are people on here not aware that we won?
There are some on this site who are never happy, only ever focus on any negatives and can't bring themselves to celebrate a top win against a good side.
No one to blame but ourselves.Brugge finish 24th and get Atalanta or Dortmund.
We get Bayern or Madrid.
Thank Mr Stones for thatDid anyone notice that we kept possession for TEN minutes at the end of the second half. That was a phenomenal piece of game killing.
