Imo, Pep will make several changes, but not too many. We can make 5 changes during the game, so we'll go strong. Think CL will be a firm priority this season.

Stones, Zinch, Mahrez and Gundo to start. If everything goes to plan, Pep will sub Dias/Stones, Rodri, Walker/Cancelo, Grealish to rest them before the derby.

We'll need a lot of energy at OT. Foden, Bernie and Jesus have to be fresh.

I think we'll go three at the back, all out attack to try and get job done by HT.

For me, this is a game where we get fitness up and experiment.

Try Grealish in midfield, give KdB his false 9 back where I think he is more comfortable, Foden explosive LW.

Steffen

Walker (Cancelo needs rest)
Stones
Ake
Zinny (these 3 that follow need minutes)

Bernie/Gundogan (rotate at half time)
Dinho (give Rodri rest)
Grealish (experiment to see if this more free role is better for him, I suspect it might be)

Jesus/Mahrez (rotate at half time)
KdB (let him be the false 9 again, less involved in buildup, do damage on moments of brilliance)
Foden (doing fine as a F9, but let him go LW now with Grealish in midfield)

And personally, I'd say give McAtee the option to sub in for Grealish at some point, won't happen, just what I want.

I’d like us to try and play with more width and pace. Let’s give Sterling a game on the right and Foden on the left:

Ederson
Walker
Dias
Stones
Cancelo
Rodri
Gundogan
Bernardo
Sterling
Jesus
Foden

Stating the obvious here, but we really, really need a win to take the pressure off in the group, and then we don't have to overthink anything until this competition restarts in the new year when hopefully everything will have clicked in to place with scoring. It'd be nice to put the last week behind us as well, and get a bit more positivity around the club.

To say they looked ordinary in the first match two weeks ago is being very very generous

I can't see anything apart from us smashing them again

What was your prediction vs Crystal Palace? Some people need to remove their sky blue glasses. FC Bruges management will have noticed our sudden drop in form and will go for our throats. Expect a tough game.

Sudden drop in form? One bad match when everything that could go wrong did go wrong

it’s like that masterclass at Brighton never happened

We need to freshen the team , give a couple of the out of favour players a game to let them prove themselves to Pep

STEFFEN

WALKER
STONES
DIAS
ZINCHENKO

FERNANDINHO
FODEN
GUNDOGAN

MAHREZ
JESUS
PALMER

wouldnt even have sterling or KDB on the bench . give them the night off , they are both going through a very poor period of form and Laporte , Rodri , Cancelo , Ederson , Bernardo have played a lot of football including internationals over the last few months so leave them on the subs bench. Maybe some of the fringe players can play themsleves into consideration for starting the derby game. Would also be nice to see Lavia , DeLap , Mbete , Edozie involved
Obviously dont think Pep will consider this , he is under massive pressure to win the Champs league and a bad result against Bruges will mean the last two games will be tricky.
