The anthem gets booed but not as vehemently as before. I haven't been to the club shop since it moved but I always see half and half scarves on sale from traders on the approach and on people so I assume they are in the club shop (Rowsley St, I think it is now near what is now the Tesla showroom. Used to be Mercedes. Sign of the times).
Soooooooo excited!

Come on City !!

Wasn't too fussed about us going through tonight really, because it just means more and more and more games. We're clearly not good enough to win the thing so we might as well focus on finishing 4th and going deep into the FA Cup.

But anything that helps England's coefficient benefits us at the end of the season, I suppose. We need that safety net of 5th to qualify for next season's European Cup ahead of the rebuild, so anything that boosts those numbers is fine by me.

I'm confident we'll win and win well tonight.
The only nagging doubt is that this CL campaign is cursed and it is fate that we somehow manage to get knocked out, but thats just the pessimist in me.

If we could sign say Cambiaso and Ederson or Luiz and keep Dias fit, get Doku back as an option and add Marmoush to the next phase squad of course we are good enough mate!

Just looking at the league.
Are we relying in goal differences to ensure our qualification IF we beat brugge?

Only Dynamo could push us out if they win by 15-0?

Or am I an idiot?

yes but only in the sense that we are guaranteed to have a better GD than Brugges if we beat them, and we only need to climb one place to qualify.

the other teams, like Dynamo, don't matter. Victory tonight is guaranteed qualification.

If we win by any score, we'll move up at least 2 places and possibly (though unlikely) 6 places.

Nobody below can catch us unless Zagreb win by 12 in the San Siro. A 1-0 win would put us above Bruges and above the loser of Stuttgart and PSG or both if they draw.

Exactly, it’s a cup completion, anything can happen, how many of us thought Wigan would beat us in the FA Cup Final?
Especially - hopefully - as it feels as though we are about to become unrecognisable from the team that have been tortured/torturous for the past couple of months...

They only need a point so I guess they will sit back in a 5-4-1 - afraid it will be a frustrating night if we dosen't score early, if God loves us Bobby O can play tonight.

Spoiler alert ......

Got an email from UEFA regarding the champions league match tonight (still subscribed from the champions league final). The subject line of the email is:

final match for Manchester City tonight!

It seems that UEFA know we are going to draw or lose and miss out on qualification.

I probably won't bother going tonight now :-) :-)
