I don't want to see us go out. If for no other reason than to not have to hear the hell we will catch from idiots on social media. I think there is an opportunity here for us to continue to build back. We win, we get to keep playing which will allow our new guys to be able to play in the knockout round. This will help with our depth.

Ederson
Lewis Stones Akanji Gvardiol
Kovacic
Foden Silva Grealish
DeBruyne
Haaland

Let's get it done.

Nunes in for Rico and Savinho in for Grealish, otherwise this is the XI

All those people saying they are not arsed about the CL, wow one of my highlights of watching city is lifting the trophy in Istanbul and I want to see us do it again!
The match was the pinnacle, but the nights afore and after were the best I've ever had as a City fan.

Istanbul welcomed us and we responded by drinking two major breweries dry.

What a few days !!

Yeah it's that in between Arsenal and Liverpool games I want nothing to do with. If winning got us through automatically it would be different. The last thing this squad needs currently is 4 high intensity games in a row after the transfer window shuts.
We WILL do it !!

looking forward to tonight and if bobbs playing its another bonus, with the new additions to the squad and depending on the futer fixtures there is no reason we cant go all the way and win it

If they’re anything like the Belgian cycling fans, no surprise to read their supporters are lively in town. Always the best atmosphere on the big climbs to be found where they are.

Hopefully a few of them get a good fucking kicking for what they did to that Belgian Blue who was alone with his Son last time we played them.

And what is the prize for beating Arsenal and Liverpool? A possible top 4 / 5 finish, guaranteeing a place at the top table in next season's UCL? A win tonight carries arguably a greater prize ... UCL involvement from a stage several games closer to the trophy itself. And all the exposure, glamour and prize money that comes with that.

Finding it really hard to get up for this one. I actually think it will be better for the team in the long run if we get knocked out. We don't need that play off game in between the run of fixtures we have coming up.

I know Pep and the lads will think differently.
Can understand that, but if we go out tonight, then finish 5th, then miss out because PL teams' CL results this season are not good enough to secure that 5th UCL for next season, you'll probably regret it on various Thursdays next year...

We need a Summer revamp and getting in the CL means we can attract a higher level of player and chuck our hat in the ring for people like Wirtz. They aren't playing Europa League. Rodri still hasn't signed a contract extension either. I'm just being pragmatic, the second half against PSG was not the performance of prospective Champions League winners.

It wasn't but add Dias, Marmoush, Bobb, Ake, Rodri, Doku to the side that played that 2nd half in Paris. Perhaps they wouldn't all go into the side but it was a much-weakened side.

We'll see how it goes. My outlook is more a loss tonight isn't the end of the world and may end up beneficial rather than I hope we go and throw the game tonight lol.

This lot are a vastly underrated side. Have had a much harder draw than us as we were basically handed a pass to the top 8 and have blown it. They're actually a good bet for the whole thing this year.

They'll be all over us from the start and will close space quickly. Our 'Dad's Army' midfield will struggle to hold them let alone make headway.

Our defence will have to be watertight, but if we can't subdue Man Utd, or Feyenord, what chance do we have. Their forwards are lethal and will score 2, so we need 3 to go though and with Erling Birtles misfiring we've not much hope.

Take 1-1 and hope that UEFA put us through as a favour to our owners.

Only one result here, a convincing City win. When the going gets tough we find a way.

I see a huge game for Phil.
