Yes, I knew that about the new signings but it will still be great to give them a warm welcome at the 630pm event .
To be honest, when my cousin messaged me to say she was coming over and she would take me to the game, it was about 3 months back. At that time we hadn't gone completely shite so I thought it would be done and dusted.
This is more like old times though lol ;-)
Long day for you then. From mancity.com it says that event starts at 5.30pm, players due at 5.50pm and finishes at 6.30pm. I will get to the stadium for about 7.30pm.

Thanks for the heads up!! Will get there earlier.

Ha, no worries. His response was pretty harsh really.
It was, it turns out, a pretty addled first post, so I can understand the @lionheart response. I honestly expected to be called a rag for a while as I know that is how it goes on here for new people, having lurked for years. It’s one of the reasons I haven’t registered before now.

I suppose the accusations will go on a bit longer now, ha!

I'm looking forward to seeing this match live in the stadium.
I've not been able to go to a home game for a good few years.

Two questions:

1) Are we still booing the CL anthem?
2) Will the shop be open and will they be selling half-half scarves for this match?

Cheers.

Rag.

Be rude not to do so.

The anthem gets booed but not as vehemently as before. I haven't been to the club shop since it moved but I always see half and half scarves on sale from traders on the approach and on people so I assume they are in the club shop (Rowsley St, I think it is now near what is now the Tesla showroom. Used to be Mercedes. Sign of the times).

Should be a great atmosphere with a place in the next round at stake. Every confidence in the boys. Feels like we’re slowly turning a corner.

3-1 City

Is Simpson-Pusey injured - didn't see him in Open Training and hasn't featured on the bench for the first team recently?
He is dealing with a little injury at the minute. He has also been ‘demoted’ back to the U23s.

He wants a loan/transfer away, his agent met with Txiki recently. Wouldn’t be hugely surprised if he’s gone this time next week.

Count yourself fortunate, I'm regularly accused of being a Dipper! Took me years to register for same reasons, finally took the plunge 2 years ago, lurked for a decade before.

BTW it's do or die vs Brugge at home tmw. Iirc we mullered them a few years ago, how times have changed that we are all on edge!!

Ha, I am sure I will be called that, as well. Won’t help that the wife is from Huyton!

As far as Brugge (not Copenhagen!), they have gotten some decent results in this new format, it has to be said. And I am still never certain of victory, as Typical City was shot in to my head as a young blue, and attempts to remove it since have failed miserably (Typical City, not my head, though, the missus has tried that on occasion, too). But I reckon we’ll get the job done, and perhaps even with some style.

I just get the sense we are starting to shed the difficulties of the last few months and find a bit of form and confidence again. I think a few returning, and a few new faces, have given the players and Pep a belief that they can push through the malaise and get back to their best.

Famous last (and, I guess, first) words, of course!

Does anyone know in the the rules to this completion it's teams 9 to 16 v 17 to 24 .
The question is do teams from 9-16 play at home first ,away first or is it completely random ??
Just trying to figure out holidays for Feb 18th week .
