Do we as City fans truly believe we treat ex players players with the gratitude and respect they deserve, example is David Silva a absolute world class player for us and country yet hardly any recognition at the weekend game no details he was going to be at the game even some of the players didn’t know he was attending, David is up their with the greatest players for this club.what are your thoughts

He was a great player. One of the best we’ve ever seen.

The end of his career with us did not allow him to get the goodbye from our support he deserved but it was probably in many ways what he wanted himself.

Not everyone wants to be centre of attention, and some hate it, I think Spanish Dave comes into that latter category.

I think we treat ex-players well. Even ex-managers. Brian Horton isn't a Mancunian, never played for us and just managed us for a couple of years at a time when things were difficult. Yet he absolutely loves the club. Joleon Lescott is from the West Midlands, a Villa fan, yet loves the club.

We do very well respecting ex-players.

They even have their own song from the masses. I've never heard once a red/magpie/hammer etc

Yes we do, I think we are a beacon for it actually. Strange post
