I am so pleased the club have taken this stance. The gutter press have done nothing but try to take the piss out of one of the country's great establishments since Sept 1st. I can see a bit less of it happening now, well done City.

It's about time that we have hit back at such gutter press, if you think how we have been out of the papers recently and compare it to how we have improved our game, then just as we are playing well the rag tabloids print something that could disrupt the players minds.

On Talksport yesterday afternoon, Hawksby and Jacobs were giving City shit about how our bid for Messi "was making the club look a laughing stock".... I e-mailed them pointing out that not one claim of this sort was made by City, and the source for the story had no link to City... even though he had an Arab sounding name!

I am yet to receive a reply. And they made no mention on air.

It will be interesting this afternoon, and I await an apology from them!

The even dafter thing is that my e-mail was directed to Bill Borrows...a former City fanzine editor!

At least you'd expect him to get off his corporate arse and ask questions of a Chelsea supporting City-hating nob head who keeps getting it wrong about City.

Andy Jacobs is now the reason that between 1 and 4 pm i catch up on the latest tunes on Radio1. He is a tosser of the highest order and everytime anything City is mentioned in any corner of the media, he not only highlights it, but completely ridicules it and disgards it as rubbish and 'it aint never going to happen'.

It started the day 'after' the ADUG takeover with him saying 'this is laughable, it wont go through, who in their right mind would put that sort of money into City etc etc. When the takeover officially went through, he never mentioned that he was completely wrong, instead he started the City will never get top players, never be anyone etc etc.

F*ckin wanker, really cant stand him.

P.S. Bill Burrows said on TS a couple of months ago RE: KAKA, that 'it doesnt feel right that City are making ridiculous bids for footballers, no matter who they are. And now he does that Talk shite on-line fanzine and it amazes me the amount of ridicule he allows the anti-city brigade to put in it.

I dont like him either..................... but not in the same way that i cant stand Jacobs, he is a true ****!!!

Just be nice to see him grow some bigger balls as he is in such a revered post now. Like it or dislike it, talkshite is at the forefront of radio sports media and has an ever growing army of listeners. He could help the City cause by at least balancing the fanzine with some positive City reporting.

Just to get back to the original point about City no longer standing for these (in my opinion), deliberate attempts by the gutter press to destabilise the club, it got me thinking about what us fans are doing.

I'm as angry as everyone else about it, but we seem to be blowing our tops on here & maybe not paying the 30p that some of us might have in the past to buy the newspapers in question. Could we be a bit cleverer about it?

Has anyone got any idea how much it costs to buy advertising space on the new digital hoardings around the pitch?

I've no idea whether the club would allow it, but I was thinking if everyone on here chipped in a few quid, we could buy an advert, naming & shaming the newspapers (and individual hacks if necessary) involved in tarnishing our good name.

I was even thinking we could finish it off with "see bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk" for details, & set up a Ducado type list of shame as a sticky, pointing out every article that we come across which contains blatant lies.

Or has my high horse just become a little over-grown, having been fed on my utter hatred & contempt for these lying cunts?
