Club Statement re The Sun

Al-Fahim hasn't really done us many favours from the start, but at least he's been moved on.

The understatement of understatements, this bloke is the reason for all the bickering on here, after saying we were going to sign Ronaldo,Messi,Kaka and Gerrard etc he raised the hopes and expectancies of some of our fans to such heights that when the real signings took place most were disappointed.
The fact that the Sun still think he owns us just show you the homework they put in to their articles..wouldn't consider buying it.

I thought he was pretty funny TBH, though I never for a minute took him seriously with his list of targets. To blame him and his gobshitery for raising expectations of the Jan window is laughable, expectations for January were raised by the fact that we DID attempt to sign Kaka.

Just dont buy the rag, still to this day it never makes the counter in Liverpool, and rightly so.

Am I the only one who's noticed he has posted in this thread then?

Ajay didn't add his bit until after a few of us had already written ours.

As mentioned, I spoke with him on the telephone a few times, & even texted him in the middle of wrecking my wife's car back in January as I was supposed to get back to him later in the day for a chat but was stranded in the middle of an ice storm here after I hit a tanker truck side-on and ended up doing a 360 across the motorway and slid into the grassy knolll... ;o)

(a clue to my identity in there, ehehe)

Anyway, I never mentioned much by way of footie to him or discussed this board, but I think he felt the brunt of some of the less than sympathetic comments posted on here.

Not before fucking time if we're now starting to get back at these fairytale merchants. Next the Mail, then the Mirror and a bit of special treatment for Ian Ladyman eh?

Absolutely. I cannot understand why the club do not piss these people off. No hospitality at CoMS, not included on flights anywhere, statements in the programme that *** has written more shit about your club and we at MCFC would suggest that you boycott this organisation and desist from purchasing its vile and offensive products. I long since fired off the MUEN - just another bloody RAG fanzine.

Agreed Dave....I've had dealings with a "certain" Sun "journalist" and he conforms to every stereotype you could imagine.

This lowest-common-denominator,indoctrinating bog-roll is one of the reasons the country is currently the way it is.
