If City were guilty of any wrongdoing at the time, then hopefully the club now, will make sure it's completely out in the open & shame others into doing the same.

But if this guy was known to be dodgy & City were at fault, letting him be involved with the club in any capacity, then there are also plenty of others, some much more at fault, who knew about it before then & afterwards & also therefore surely someone at the FA must have known.

It's also pretty obvious there is a great big, famous youth developer, elephant in the room, who was involved in every stage of this bloke's career, & people must be able to put him away, if they give evidence. And they need to do so.

Behaviour not fitting in court. If courts banged these bastards up and threw away the key when they first offended so many kids wouldn't be abused and damaged. Are such people possible of being rehabilitated? Until they can operate or chemically change their brain I seriously doubt it. Courts and the justice system are a joke, unless you commit a crime against the system then you will.get hammered.
 
Whatever the sentence, in the eyes of many, it will not be enough.

At the very least, i just hope the process has enabled the victims to feel a sense of justice. Not as if I could comprehend what they went through and are having to deal with for the rest of their lives.

The next step has to be to put in place child protection measures to reduce the risk of similar incidents in the future.

Over 20 years ago at college, i once had a tutor who referred to the sexual abuse of children as the 'national sport'. He wasn't being flippant as he said it to me when he was suspended following him chinning a colleague he said he knew had done something to one of his children at a kids party. It seems that he wasn't wrong.

I've really no idea how they discover one another, but previous abuse scandals in areas away from football (children's homes, for instance) feature allegations of collusion in paedophile rings so they obviously can find ways. But I can't even begin to think what those ways may be.

I have professional experience of working with Paedophiles and the most “successful” are very adept at picking up victims of others. Often by presenting a “stop this monster” presence in the community. They are also very skilled at making themselves indispensable to victims and/or their families and communities.
