Club-Supporter disconnect..

' yet run out of team sheets'

Ive been to half a dozen or more games at the CFA and never got a team sheet once because they always run out. The media suite part of the stadium and has all sort of high tech office equipment. Does no one have the gumption to go the and run off extra copies?

As a result it is very difficult to get to know the names of our youngsters.

Maybe the 1894 lot could tell the club what the fans want instead of organising shitty displays that last 20 seconds. Also the head of the supporters club Kevin parker isn't exactly your average joe, hes not quite connected to everyday fan.
The club should invite a cross section from the ground and have a chat with them. Some chance
i get it your pissed of the club at the moment we all are ,but it was the 1894 group who organised the display but hey ho get in line to stick the boot in ,

Do you mean the come on city on the screens when we had a corner? I liked that, I presume the idea was from when we had it at maine road

I just think we run the risk of the club trying too hard to 'manage the experience', Americanising (if you know what I mean!!!) and stage managing the crowd, God forbid we could even have canned laughter for some of our performances!!!!

Don't worry mate, its usually the same people who do bugger all about trying to improve things who have a go at those who do.

I remember it was pissing down one night at an EDS game, there were perhaps 300 people there and I was told quite specifically by one of the stewards that umbrella's were not permitted and had to be left at the wall. Too many rules and regulations, too much control and so little flexibility.
The funny thing I've found with the stadium, it can be bloody cold on a cold night, the stadium look's nice but it's very open, with the side's of the stands open and the roof high up with a big gap in between,

Oh aye and when they contain you to a certain area and you are at the side it rains in, maybe it isn't finished like the south stand.

Ha ha, yes get impression with the South Stand, some good idea's, then just rush it to get it finished, I look at the the CFA stadium wonder if they could do more with it, maybe a new museum in that empty space behind the east stand of the CFA Stadium, or maybe a new City square that could be used for 1st team (over the bridge) and U18,resevres and the women's game at the CFA ?
Maybe the club should have and look at the more traditional forms of pre match entertainment some times, ie a pie & pint while reading your programme.

Seriously though the whole south stand was quite obviously rushed and there seems to have been no snagging done. The finish is terrible and it looks shabby in places, you would think that they would have workers in during the week finishing it off and why on earth does it still leak?

I don't think the clubs are interested in anything traditional te the match experience, it is cheese or nothing sadly.

On the whole I agree and fuck me canned laughter could of been piped through for most of this season. I just quite liked it as my first years of going was in Division 2 and one of my memories was the clapping hands and come on city when we had a corner. Was just a nice memory for me.

I do think the new South stand looks poor compared to the rest of the stadium, walls that look like they still need plastering in the stair wells, some plywood wall between turnstiles N1/N2 . Parts of the stand just look cheap and nasty, It's like the club thought, sod it that will do, it's only the cheap seats !

I know mate, I like the fact youre trying but come on them displays are fucking crap and a waste of money. Get more flags/banners create an atmosphere for all the game not just 20 seconds before it starts.

What a cock. If you don't like it, fair enough it's not to your taste. But don't belittle the people, pretty much the only group, trying to improve the atmosphere and going out of their way, spending money and giving up their time, to do just that.

Why don't you start a group and 'create an atmosphere for all the game not just 20 seconds before it starts.'
