Club Wembley Crew

Sunderland fan here....

I expect the estimates of 80% of CW being Sunderland to be pretty accurate. Remember this is our first final for 22 years and we've sadly lacked anything like the success you've enjoyed lately. People are absolutely desperate for tickets. I've seen quotes of £500+ for CW tickets and plenty of willing bidders from Wearside. We haven't got other highs to think about...Barca etc so next Sunday is massive for us.

Looking forward to a great day with a fellow set of genuine football fans who had also been in the shadows of the neighbours for too long.
Aye, wouldn't be surprised by that and totally understandable. This our sixth Wembley trip in three years with a decent prospect of a seventh (and maybe eighth) in the FA Cup. Saw blues the other day suggesting they might give the FA Cup Semi a miss if we get there!

no way will club Wembley be 80% sunderland, sunderland have nowhere near the following of city, last weekend v Southampton they mustered a whopping 16000 crowd for the fa cup 5th round with tickets priced at 15 quid, while we played to a full house, are we saying city don't possess as many passionate fans just because the game is at Wembley. Club Wembley will have loads of city fans in it, like every other trip we have had there.

We've had 7 cup games this year and people shelled out for Wembley etc. 16,000 was embarassing but understandable too. Average home gate of 40,000 this season for watching rubbish!

And yes, i don't believe City have as many fans that will go to the same lengths as Sunderland fans will go to, just to get to this game. 22 years since we were in a final! We will pay more knowing that it could be another 22 years until we get there again. I'm sure city could expect another 10 trips in the next 10 years (at least!).

Their crowd that day won't have any bearing on their attendance at Wembley. Nobody is saying it's a passion contest more a desperation one potentially because it's been a while since they were there. That being said we have a fair few blue members who want tickets so it will be interesting to see the ratio on the day.

by our previous visits there will be lots of blues better connected for club Wembley tickets

Not fussed how many Sunderland fans are there to be honest, wont stop me letting rip when we score, its a massive day for them and I hope we don't take them too lightly like we did Wigan.
Hope Sergio is back.

Im in club wembley at weekend to try and reduce my outlay in March (Barca away 10 days after). I can do this as I know someone with club wembley tickets, I gave him a bell and asked him if he knew anything, the feedback he got from his contact was that its about a 60/40 split in City's favour but that is an assumption from the Hospitality team based on who they know and what they have resold. It is by no means accurate or guarenteed to be that way as Club wembley is not segregated in any way and they have based it on the resale service that they operate on behalf of owners who do not want to go. My contact was still able to get 2 more tickets this morning via wembley at face value, that doesnt scream sell out to me ?

Iam in Block 102 row 1, virtually sat on Pellegrinis knee!! So any inspired substitiutions maybe influenced by a pissed up yours truly!

I've got three across Block 229/230. I know quite a few London Blues who've got themselves sorted in Club. Whilst the Sunderland fans are more likely than us to be willing to pay over the odds, I think all our Wembley visits in the recent past mean a lot of our fans will probably have the better connect and access to contacts who can sort Club level tickets.

Last year in Club for Wigan was as expected with such a small club, must have been at least 75% City. That certainly won't be the case on Sunday.

CW for the Wigan final was mainly City but that was purely due to Wigan's low fan base. Sunderland do have a sizeable fan base and it is their first final for 22 years. However I would still be very surprised if CW was sold out. How a Sunderland board can estimate 80% of those in CW will be their fans is beyond me. As someone with inside knowledge has said they reckon it is 60:40 in our favour and even if that is wrong how can it change to 80:20 in their favour........Anyway seeing as shirts aren't allowed in CW most Sunderland fans will be semi naked

Sat on the front row of block 214 right next to the Sunderland scoreboard.
It was the 6 th time I have sat there and I have to say it was my worst experience in club Wembley.
I found some of the Sunderland fans , although not intimidating at all , to be cocky and a little bit arrogant. They were high fiving each other at half time and thought they had the game won (big mistake).

Me and my 11 year old decided to move ends at half and the rest is history.
Sat next to 2 old mates of mine I have not seen for 20 years (by complete chance).

I have no doubt in my mind our decision to move influenced the outcome of the game.....

The ones near us in 234 were a good bunch. They were talking to my son when we were getting beat and saying keep your chin up it ain't over etc. At full time they were shaking our hands and saying see you in the semi final etc. They apologized in case they were over the top during the game as they didn't expect to have a chance.

They came out with plenty of the usual banter but nothing to get wound up about. I now know Colback as 'Ginger Jack'!
