Club World Cup 2025 - Who’s going?

Shouty will be deverstated as just this morning screaming it should be scrapped as no TV deal and just how did these two qualify for it
And the flute wanted to know if there was anyone that would actually be watching it.

Apparently, and I'm sure this will fall apart, I'm going on the corporate trip. Lots of City fans out there who want a backhander for "corporate entertainment" like with Porto based on our tender.

I'd say they're all cunts but 90% sure they post on here too tbh

I may be going off on a tangent here, but new competitions like this and the ESL are doing themselves no harm by pledging to make all games free-to-air. I'd be interested to see what ticket prices are like for the CWC. Obviously the exchange rate can skew what is/isn't reasonable, but organisers can win people over with reasonable prices.

Sorry, I dont understand your post.
Is there a corporate/City trip planned?
What tender?

Just read a piece on the BBC website about this competition. It's the most contrived "competition" I've ever seen, teams 'selected' to take part rather than winning anything in particular to qualify, engineered to generate money every four years and nothing else. I get it that the clubs stand to make money but I'd love it if City and maybe a couple of other "big" teams declined to take part. It's been heading this way for a while but football is becoming an 'entertainment show' rather than a sport. I'd much rather watch a plucky lower league team play CIty in the FA Cup after winning their way through the rounds than Inter Miami play City because it's "box office' and Inter Miami have Messi.

This sounds a lot more likely than loss making DAZN spending huge sums on broadcasting this tournament. Effectively Saudi Arabia will be bankrolling it and getting FIFA off the hook as Infantino had said previously that it couldn't be financed out of reserves.

Edit: it's a down payment of the huge sums Saudi will be paying to get the 2034 World Cup
