Coast Gard Bases to Shut

Coastguards aren't the same as the guys that get in the lifeboats, they co-ordinate rescue operations.

The danger is "local" knowledge of area is lost when people try and describe where they are when raising alerts.

Aren't they normally in the sea??

Sorry

They have to make these cuts. How else are they going to fund the coming invasion of Lybia?

Libya is funded by the reserve money, didnt know we had any but apparently we do and they are using that
And where does this fund come from?

How on earth would i know, probably China. I would say taxes but that all goes to public sector pensions

Make no mistake, our taxes will be funding it.
The first casualty of war is the truth.

Well we did join the UN so we signed up for it. We only have 4 soldiers, a tank and 1 ship these days anyway so should be cheap as chips this war.
Although its not a war but it is if you see what i mean. Its more like helping a rebel alliance that will bite the hand that helped it if it wins.

You know you can choose to not pay taxes for the armed forces so i heard!

In the scheme of things i would rather help a country that is being slaughtered by its dictator with my tax money

they are now thinking of rationalising the three stations in to one. A very high chair will be erected outside birmingham where the hoff can keep his beady eye on the waves around the coast....

While we are trying to pinch money here & there our over seas devolpment grants have gone through the roof

a disgrace putting untold many lives at risk. as long as the bankers dont sink its ok
