Coast Gard Bases to Shut

instead of about 15 bases the coalition wants to shut most & leave only 3 & they tell us the service wont be affected
 
But surely as we are all in this together the big society will rescue those in difficulties on the seas?

Strange spread of the geographical locations of the remaining 3 stations to look after the coatline of the UK.........

I agree. Taking the reports on face value it appears shortsighted to say the least and geographicaly it doesn't seem to make any sense imo.
 
It's a disgrace - know a few lads on lifeboats in Portrush NI - one got medal last year for saving 2 lads lives

been on the boat a few times for a look around and always throw a few bob in the station donation bucket when passing

Libya is funded by the reserve money, didnt know we had any but apparently we do and they are using that
