This makes me laugh, I've got to say most of the trouble isn't trouble atall but gobbing off. The last semi againt these numbsculls was a classic, big groups of mid 40's chavs larging it up, gesticulating and mouthing off without any hand to hand combat.
Christ, at a service station going home a group of about 10 tried to intimdate every blue in the place, until my mate said 'watch your back' as the big loud mouth deliberately barged into the back of me (now I'm a good 15 stone) and bounced off finding himself on his arse on the floor, funniest thing I've ever seen, next funniest was my sister telling him off....classic!!
Thing is, if there is a group of you, don't get involved in a slanging match as nobody wins or loses anything, you just show your arse, let the knobheads think they are all it and see how dumb they look.
They will piss off soon enough, trust me, I've been around football trouble, it's often handbags unless it's arranged.

So what you are saying then is the people who posted on here after the Semi that
experienced kicks and punches on Wembley Way are a bunch of liars.
But obviously in your experience it's only in pre aranged meets that trouble occurs.
FFS get in the real world.

Nope, that's not what I said, didn't mention liars, didn't mention there being no people getting slapped after the semi final, I saw the somewhat ugly scenes, what I said was don't get drawn into a gobbing off match and you should be okay.....as mosty trouble is just handbags with a slap here and there....!!!

alternatively give the wankers a good hiding and they'll soon feck off

If you show fear then these shithouses will prey on it! Fuck em and get stuck in and they will get on there toes ! City till I die !

I heard a story many, many years ago and I don't know how true it is? maybe someone else does? United were playing at Highbury and after the game the Cockney Reds led the other Reds right into the heart of a vicious Millwall area (I assume Bermondsey?) and then basically led them into an abush from Millwall fans and then pissed off, leaving them to fend for themselves? As I say I don't know how accurate this is (if at all?).

-- Mon Apr 22, 2013 7:50 pm --

Hammer here coming in peace. Just so you know the Cockney Reds are hated by all London clubs. All of them just glory hunters.
Myself, I decided many years ago, back in the 70's that if I hadn't been born a Hammer I would have gone for City, and that's despite being beaten up by a mob of yours at Leicester Square tube in 1971 ! I've always thought City and West Ham were very similar clubs (until now that is) always flattering to deceive with numerous false dawns.
Anyway good luck for the cup final and how do you think it will go on saturday ? I think we'll give you a game but you'll end up winning 1-0 or 2-1.

Thanks for the good wishes and you'll find the Happy Hammers are the majority of City fans favourite London team. Sorry you had a slapping from some of our boys back in the day, unfortunately it was part and parcel back then I suppose. Hope it wasn't too bad? I agree with you with regards the possible scoreline and thanks for the sentiments for the Cup Final.

I like West Ham. BUT!

I was chased by about 150 of yours one night game up here (late 70's)

West Ham were near Store Street, Piccadilly Station and ran towards 4 of us. I was on my toes in seconds and on the other side of Piccadilly Gardens.

I know you have said you don't know how true this is but to be honest it doesn't sound likely. Maybe it did and the facts have been distorted over the years but to be led from Highbury to Bermondsey (or other Millwall area) and miss out on Euston station on the way doesn't sound right. Maybe if they knew what they were going for then yes.

To the person who said you can avoid stuff if you keep your mouth shut. I didn't open my mouth after the semi but it didn't stop a couple of rags attacking my car with me and my kids in it. No gestures or anything from us but as said on here shortly after that, one tried to put his fist through the passenger window where my lad was sat. If they could have got at us they weren't just interested in a bit banter.
