Coldest/worst weather at a City match

Ipswich. Still soaked through! Ooh Vonky Vonky!

EDIT: And seeing every blue running from alleyways to walls to keep dry. It actually rained sideways that day.

Remember setting out from the Clarence that night thinking "oh fook". Not an unusual occurrence in those days, but for once, it wasn't about the standard of football. Of biblical proportions, that one.

And an honourable mention to the foggy Boro away in the cup - only one goal visible.

I forgot about Grimsby away, I think in the Keegan promotion season...December and we were in a Gene Kelly style temp stand next to the nice covered away bit as we'd left getting tickets until late.

2 hours stood with constant sleet blowing in from the North Sea. Still have flashbacks.

Have to agree ref the Everton home game a few years ago,but I think the Fulham at home (re-arranged game) on a Wednesday in late Jan/Feb 2012 was fooking horrendous.
This was the game we won 4-0 but we had the snow shovellers on during the game attempting to move the snow from the lines. The bastard snow and wind even got to us way up in the "gods" in CB3 and honestly the snow was even coming down on us and I`ve never known it that bad at The Etihad.
The other worst conditions is way back in 1967/68 at Maine Road and the recent thread "Ballet on Ice" (v Spurs 4-1) was the next worst conditions, but some of the finest football I`ve ever seen in my 50+ years of watching our lads.
I`ve just had a thought. Was the Fulham game the re-arranged one when the midweek original game was called off for those wild winds that saw it blow over the Programme Stand or was that the Villa game that was re-arranged last season, the second of our two home games ?
Had a fair few beers at home tonight, including my second large Bacardi and Coke,so the old grey matter is getting a little confused,or maybe its just my fooking age.
That was the original day for the Sunderland game.

It was Jim, got both programmes not many can say that..
Feb 12 Kolarov on front..
April 16 Navas on front..

The coldest/worst more recent i can remember has to be at home against Fulham, when the added minutes went up we all sang we want to go home, it's fucking freezing we want to go home.
3.0 if memory serves..

Think all other games were called off..
Cheering the ground staff clearing the snow so you could see the edge of the penalty area..

That night? It was a daytime game.

Though there was ironically another Ipswich game 8 years later similarly abandoned because of waterlogging just after Dickov equalised - that was a night game. A League Cup QF no less.

Carlisle away 1966..... Went with my brother on Maynes Coaches from Denton. A big following and some rum cnuts about. I was 14......almost 38 now !!

How come I was 12 when I went to that game and I'm now 61! LOL

Haha.....gotcha there dint I 63 and going strong...ish.

Mentioned it before on here. West Brom LCF at Wembley. No ticket, slept outside the ground in the snow. Got a job in the morning clearing the snow and ice off the steps and the straw off the pitch (Van Nistelrooy of the year show ). Saw City win and got paid £7.00. Cold, wet and muddy.

I went to Grimsby 1956? in 3rd round of Cup
Heavy snow all the way and we didn't know on train if match was on or not.
Grimsby asked for all fans home and away to help clear pitch of snow which we all did and match went ahead and I think we drew and lost home replay.
Was frozen all day.
Anyone remember that
