Radiohead. OK Computer and The Bends are era defining records. Coldplay have done some nice stuff but they’re for non music fans overall.

Bands with no hooks aren’t good unless they’re Brian Eno whose music is specifically created to be ignored and play in the background while you do other things.

This is like the first rule of popular music. Radiohead isn’t even a band. They’re accompaniment. And they aren’t even good at that unless the listener is wallowing in self-pity. They even nearly ruined the best episode of South Park by boring everyone to death in their cameo.

Ok, fine. Maybe House of Cards. That one is all right. Maybe.
