Cole Palmer

I'm really excited by the thoughts of a new kids being slowly integrated.

It's crazy imo to think that squad regulations result in this not being possible. Who's really benefiting from the rules as they stand?

Asked about re this and its kinda true, but not true. Absolutely *loads* of clubs are in for him, but the club still hasn't decided the plan. Sorting a new deal though, and from then onwards its up to Pep.
Seems logical, I hope Pep stays a lot longer to oversee the development of some of our youth players because we have a really good crop coming through

Doesn't his current deal run out in 2024? Surely we should hear news about Lavia and Delap considering their deals run out earlier?

Where's the pathway if we're meant to be signing Grealish?
Its a good question.

He wont push his way past anyone in the first team picture next season IMO,which would leave him playing a couple of early cup games but mainly scratching his bollocks for a season.

He is a brilliant prospect but he isnt on Fodens level - At this stage,a loan is much better for his education and development.

Maybe but I'm a bit suspicious of these clubs who offer a loan to get a foot in the door and then gradually move the goalposts to possible permanent move especially if just promoted. Personally would like to see him share the RW spot with Mahrez. Obvs as the junior partner

That’s been my thinking for a while now.
It’s the little things he says sometimes in interviews that make me think that.
Who knows he might even be around for another 10 years!!
The only way I don’t see him staying for longer than his current contract is for family reasons.
I really hope thats the case anyway because whoever we get after "this fucking manager" will be a downgrade.

Barring a massive injury crisis, I just don’t see how he’d get many minutes next season. A new striker will presumably play a lot more than Aguero’s 700 minutes from this season (which means those extra minutes will have to be taken off other players). Then you’ve got the likes of Foden and Torres who will both be hoping to play more too, not to mention Jesus and Sterling.
