This is terrible to say, but talent aside (I see both sides of this debate), he just doesn’t sound very bright. When I compare his interviews to Bobb or Lewis, he is left a bit lacking to me. (It makes me wonder if he wasn’t a great advocate for himself.)

I know many would say the same about Grealish but he at least is personable and engaging.

They paid a very full price for Cole and, fair play to Chelsea, it looks as if it’s paying off for them. Buy-backs are when we are getting a low fee - not the case with Cole. City are currently the best team in the world - buying him back would not guarantee him game time !
