Cole Palmer

Or maybe he simply thought that he was never gonna get a chance like Phillips ????
i was decked he left you lot but Pep could have easily blocked it but he let him go which may sum up what i was getting at

If he thought that then he hasn’t listened to Pep.

Pep said you will play much more, Mahrez has left & it’s up to you to fight for your place but you will have the opportunity.

The fighting for your place is what makes you world class, you can have talent like Foden, Sancho & Diaz all had but who has had the best career up to now. Foden was criticised for staying & learning & fighting for their place & it’s a shame Mcatee & Palmer have listened to other voices instead of the greatest coach in the world.

I can’t imagine he’d have been earning what he is at Chelsea, and getting as many minutes, if he’d have stayed.

I can’t blame him for leaving. I’d dump my job for £4million more and the opportunity to do something I enjoy, even more. Not every player has the priority to stay and battle when that’s on offer and fair.

I would also but he didn’t leave for more money, he left because he thought he’ll get better career development by going out on loan than learning from Pep.

If he said it’s a short career & I need to make as much money as possible I’d say he’s made the right decision, same with Sancho.

Sounds like Cole was given too options, then. Stay and fight, or leave. His agents clearly leaned on him to choose the latter. We move on.

You'd think we'd let Palmer go for a pittance like Chelsea let Salah and DeBruyne go or like united let Pogba go because they "weren't good enough".

The club made a decision based on professional judgement and got a fee appropriate for a seasoned premier league professional. Palmer is financially set for life, playing regularly at a top club and Chelsea got a very good player.

Everybody should be content so I can't see why anyone would not be content with any part of the sale or criticise Palmer.

I’m not bitter , I wished him well I think he jumped ship too soon, too quick. Pep publicly made it clear he won’t be loaned out he didn’t have the patience . His call , long term do I think he’ll have regrets? Yes I do .
There’s certainly no bitterness on behalf.
Why should there be.
That's a more balanced respond than your initial post :)

...where did the 'spoilt kid' reference come from? Do you know the lad ?
