Cole Palmer

It's been questioned, clearly a mistake.
Does it need raising every week, no.
right so you agree then. It will naturally be raised every week if he keeps putting in top performances. It’s the same with any extra city player.

You could just ignore the thread if you know what to expect

Numerous posters on this thread who have said it’s time to move on or lock the thread. I think this one is slightly different, with how talented he is.

He’s become one of the best young players in Europe, so naturally people will want to talk about him or think what if.
That isn't saying that we can't regret players being sold.

Who said that?

I think people just don't like having an ex players thread bumped every time they score.
We've only just stopped hearing about Mahrez and Cancello.
Sancho will be next.
I'm still not over the time we turned down the chance to sign Figo.
Worthy of a thread?

He scored two penalties. It wasn't exactly a world class performance.

Even to the point that he’s a Wythenshawe lad who spend thirteen years at City.

His thread should be lively because we’re happy for a City academy local lad being such a brilliant player. It’s not like he’s Morgan Rogers who we got from West Brom and he spent a couple of years with us. How many people can say they played at City for thirteen years, at any level or age group?

It’s better than seeing the Jude Bellingham thread lively (a right **** of a player who has nowt to do with our club whose Dad called us plastic) and you never see anyone saying that thread needs locking.

Only because he is doing well, he was only potential when we sold him, pep didnt fancy him so it was best for both of us
Not sure he was really "only potential".
He had shown on the back end of his last season that he could play in the PL. He then scored in the Community Shield and Super Cup.

Even though he wouldn't have played as many minutes as he does for chelsea, it did seem that he was ready to take Mahrez's minutes on the right, but then we sold him.

I know he's gone and we can't do nothing about it now, but whenever i watch him play i do wonder what the hell we were thinking!

Why do people insist on telling others not to lament his sale? It's like they themselves cannot face the fact we dropped a massive changer selling him for peanuts. Its fine to acknowledge this and there is nothing wrong with people discussing what could have been when he continues to perform and show us exactly what we are missing. Or is this thread only for if/when he has a slump and we can all take joy from it? He's a former academy player and he's currently one of, if not the best attacker in the league, that alone should be enough to be worthy of discussion and praise and even though we'd love him to be doing this in a city shirt, he's still a brilliant advertisement for our academy.
