City lose a good player in an area where we've already lost one player.

Palmer says he wants more minutes and goes to a club who have a lot of wide players.

Chelsea pay a lot of money in an area where they seem strong.

I like him and hope he does well but I hope we don't regret it this season.
Doku I've seen more on the left and Bernardo and Phil are surely going to be used centrally quite a lot.

Very surprised at this. Would have loved Cole to have been given an extended chance in the team/squad. But football holds no sentiment by the money men at clubs and if true, the cash received for Cole would likely be a near record for someone with so few appearances.
Football has changed so much over the years. I love where we are as a club but part of me yearns for a repeat of our 86 Youth Cup Winners to make it through to the first team, maybe 75-80% of the team.
But those days are gone, long gone.
Getting 1 or 2 through every couple of years will be considered successful. The price you pay for success and progress.
Sometimes, just sometimes, I want to say, stop the ride, I want to get off….
But then I find myself at Wembley or Istanbul with my beloved City (and my Daughter, Son, Dad, Brother, Niece and my mates) and well, that yearning for years gone by fades slightly.

I’m gutted about this. Similarly to Lavia I would rather the club be investing time in our youth products than signing the likes of Kalvin Phillips.

It is my one and only slight criticism of Pep, and I repeat it is only slight, that I expected him to promote more youth players than he has done. Similarly to his Barca days.

Not all bad though we won a treble last season!!!

What I don’t understand is that Sterling is the preferred RW for Chelsea. How does he play? Unless the want him for the middle?

Just don’t get it. More chance getting a game here with Doku than sterling who is hitting form.
