The Manchester lad also doesn’t work hard enough defensively cos he plays for himself.
It was ‘stay and fight for your place’, he didn’t want to fight for his place, he wanted to go on loan.
So we sold him.
Everyone fights for their place in this team.

Akanji pulled out before tonight’s game. Don’t know how bad it is so could add him to the list. Also Gvardiol was getting treatment on pitch at the end after the final whistle so he may be another.

Bobb being injured is a big reason why this thread is so active. Had he been fit, with the form he was showing in pre-season, I doubt anyone takes a 2nd look at this thread. I love Palmer but if I had a choice between the 2 it's an easy decision for me. The guy is a superstar and I'm sure one of the reasons why we were okay with Palmer leaving.

Once again in an important game, Palmer was very ordinary. Thats the Palmer that Pep saw - someone who needed to stay with us but learn from the experience - & not demand playing time. Bobb has the right attitude
