Cole Palmer

Just listening to 5live on the way back from work and they played the commentary of his second penalty. You'd have thought it was the World Cup Final and no one has done a Panenka before. Way, way, way over the top nonsense.
He's the current blue eyed boy. The media will tire of him at some stage; presumably, when the next hot prospect comes along.

The Rags must have someone coming through.

When he has a decent game, as is the case today, this thread suddenly becomes very popular. When he has a quiet game (I know, but trust me; it has happened), it's like the Emptihad in the last 10 minutes of games. Hardly a soul to be seen.

;-)

The dumdums can believe what they want that we miss the guy..

But everyone who has an IQ above 75 knows the player we truly miss is Julian Alvarez!

We don't have a single player who can press like him, or assist like him or score like him or act as an outlet pass like him. He and Erling had a very good partnership together and Pep would play 2 strikers or him in other positions!

Bad mistake selling him.

And if anyone who hates Nunes wants to know why Nunes gets slotted in the team.. it's because we don't have Julian there.

Way too inexperienced to be the finished article - im sure he'd say that right off..... but what potential

I do not doubt his talent, But Pep had no other choice really
Once a youth player wants a starting place and is not willing to listen and wait then it's only going to end one way

City got good money and will have a sell-on and a buyback clause but I think the lad has had his chance at City
Pep is a strong manager and views his players on trust and Palmer didn't want to listen or wait

When I first watched Palmer he reminded me of Glen Hoddle, He's got that little bit of magic in his feet

For me he had a reasonable game but not outstanding. A good dribble for the Fernandez goal.but the deflection took it into his path. He's ice cold and excellent at penalties I'll give him that. He'd certainly be getting game time here due to our injuries. World class? Not yet.

Again City and Pep had little choice because the lad wanted the move and was tapped up
Pep says if a player doesn't want to be here he will not stop them from leaving

Big mistake on his part and not Pep or City

This 100%

His own fault for not wanting to fight for his spot.

Pep can't be blamed for playing other players ahead of him when he won the league and the treble because of his call.
