Cole Palmer

We're far too accomodating to players that want to go.

If we'd decided to let him to go it should have been to a lower-ranked team and with a buyback clause.

(and I said it was a mistake at the time)

Foden & Bernado are the only 2 we have that can do that....and currently neither is doing it, Salvinho/Doku never have and are never likely to, Grealish offers different attributes, but goal/assist outputs, not even close. Nunes (who I think is ok) not even close, and Bobb has never shown anything more than Palmer either (at best).
Whether Pep should have given him more game time, or whether Palmer should have been more patient is a different debate. Some say he's a bit cocky etc, maybe it's self belief (if it's the latter, fair play to him). I always saw on here (not being a Manc, so maybe a little less biased) that him, or his family being reds, he was always looked at a bit more negatively than 'blues' from the academy?
Pep didn't see enough to give him more starts. Nothing to do with not being a blue. Foden scored seven in his first full season (without penalties) with the first team. As the old cliche goes form is temporary class is permanent.

Pep rated Phil from the moment he arrived at City and brought him through eh had total belief in him IMHO I doesn’t think Pep rated Cole as highly prof being he was allowed to leave
You point is irrelevant to that
If Palmer showed the same levels then there are no doubts he would still be at City.

Gundy wasnt brought back to play every game , there was also no reason to think he would struggle given he was one of the best players in spain last year

We should have thought more seriously about buying. back up for rodders but who wants to come here that is good enough but wont sit on the bench all the time . Kova was good enough and experienced enough to fill in . We couldnt have forseen rodders being out for a year or everyone getting injured at the same time. It is easy to say pep and the club have fucked up but none of us know what goes into managing a top club
Why are people so thick they can’t see this. He was bought as an occasional starter and influence in the dressing room. There were some disgusting comments about him on the match thread. Absolute know nowt fuckwits some of our so called fans. All new ones no doubt.

Given the opportunity he might have done
Didn't impress Pep enough to do that. Especially ahead of the player City. Take away Palmer's penalties and what have you got? He didn't register a single Premier League goal whilst at City. Phil did it without any penalty taking.

Nothing to do with seeing enough, or Foden would have made more starts ;)
Pep is just more cautious with young players than the 'average' manager (maybe because of the squad he has).
Not sure why you mention 'being a blue' with that....I said he was more negatively spoken about on here (by fans) nothing to do with Pep ;)
