Coming in & going out this summer

Wonder what the Barca guys interpratation is of "established" players?

Does he mean players who are on the top European stage at the moment (Goetze, Eriksen, Cavani/Falcao etc.) or is he referring to players who are playing but not superstars (Lamela, Aubameyang, Jovetic)?

Sorry I can answer my own Question ... Do'h!

The former Barcelona executive expects to sign three or four established players and has spoken behind the scenes about the importance of each of them being an upgrade on players currently in those positions

Looks like we are going balls out to the wall this Summer! We need to find a Kleenex / tissue sale!!

I'm taking this as first 11 players. Upgrades on what we would already consider to be our theoretical best. So Barry for X, Nasri/Milner for Y.. Maybe Tevez for Z?

I actually wonder if we're looking for a left/right back who can provide more assists like Dani Alves. For how much Zab and Clichy get forward (and how much man love I have for both) maybe the higher ups think they should create more. They are integral to both how we play at the moment and 4-3-3 if that's where we're going.

Can't see us selling Garcia after one season especially because he was a Mancini signing. Nasri it depends if he wants to go definitely can see Kolarov and Dzeko & Tevez ( depends on the contract extension) leaving. Maicon probably going back to Brazil. I thinks the hardest sell will be Kolarov because of wages he'll be on especially as no one seems to splash out on Defenders.

Kolarov will be a nightmare to shift, he always gets linked to Serie A teams but I'm not sure if they'd even pay half of his wages. Russia might be our best hope... he earns too much and offers too little to sit on the bench for us. I think we'll be able to shift most of the others we want to sell, even someone like Lescott on big wages will have loads of suitors as he is still a quality defender who much of the Premier League would love to have.

Lescott will be 1 of the easy players to off load. But the likes of Maicon Sinclair and Kolarov wont be.

Mancini often makes a lot about losing Kompany and YaYa for key games, so I wouldn't be surprised to see us sign players who he thinks can play with them and fill their absence.

I think Mancini's targets this summer are the same in terms of which position he wants to strengthen, but the problem is that the available targets are not as good as the previous ones.

Last summer targets:

RVP
Hazard
Javi Martinez

Maybe Cavani or Falcao can outscore RVP next season, but I am not sure if Mancini can find better players than Hazard or Martinez.
