Community Shield 2019 - date confirmed as Sunday 4th August, 3pm ko

it's a tinpot cupboard filling dust collector. pointless. It should be treated as no more than a fun day out and a fitness exercise.
Unless we win it of course ..... then it'll be another major trophy:)
Fair enough but if Liverpool win it I think there should be an asterix placed against their name in the historical listings.
we all know that will never happen in million years.

Thanks, DEBe. My question was to El Apache Tevez but you have answered for him - "cos we should be playing Watford". I can not find anything in your post which is accurate or makes much sense. Schemnel has answered your questions properly though.
Meanwhile, getting back to the point raised by El Apache Tevez which was - "we should boycott this" - Why? Some may decide not to attend for their own reasons but why suggest a boycott? The pros, cons, numbers of visits to Wembley etc have been covered many times before and do not need repeating.
Most of us want to get on with enjoying these superb times watching CITY.

I don't really go for footballing boycotts. Doesn't serve any purpose other than to disadvantage the boycotters. I haven't been to a CS game as holidays have to come before the season kicks off properly. But there will be plenty of City fans. No doubt the RDAHMeedya will home in on the fact that the Dippers will have sold more tickets than us. But will they mention how many were bought by Norwegians and Norn Irish!

Did I read on here somewhere that because we won both we could invite whoever we wanted to be our opponents.
If so we should invite a club that is really struggling to generate some cash

erm, please don't believe everything you read on Bluemoon.

Think people are over reacting a bit.... will just be a normal Wembley trip, hopefully with another win

The Dippers are used to attending finals they have not earned the right to be there , they havent won a title for 30 years but they are the "Champions " of europe(after losing FOUR times on the way) , they havent won an FA Cup for decades but they will be at the Communuty Shield , no doubt there will be more of their obnoxious fans at Wembley , but after one trophy in 15 years a Wembley trip is still a novelty for them.

My mate who is a big blue just told us it's on a Thursday 1st Aug, so if true I won't be going, a night game fuck that.

It appears that we can not move on then?
Yes, your Wembley leaves you "cold" opinion is your entitlement.
In any aspect of life the complainers voice their opinions disproportionately to the rest.
This forum is not representative of the majority of the views of my City family, friends, colleagues and associates. It is unfortunate that too many threads get skewed by individuals with repetitive gripes who post their opinions thousands of times on this forum.
The less vocal majority, whether you or others agree or not, would prefer informed debate and factual comments rather than too many aspects on this forum being dominated by a minority.
Meanwhile perhaps we can agree that 198 points in 2 seasons is remarkable and that the unprecedented English treble will probably never be matched. There is much to be happy about.
We can agree...That Manchester City Football team are the best team in the land ..and all the world about. That there is no doubt bud. ..and it's a Domestic Quadruple in my book....you see opinions differ...
But what I. .and @worsleyweb were saying.is.Wembley is wank.and we are allowed to articulate such viewpoints on BM..as we have being doing....long before u showed up pal...

I actually hope it is on a Thursday. Perfect opportunity for both sets of fans to stage a mass boycott and get the message across that the match going fans are sick of not even being an afterthought.

Both teams should hold a screening at their grounds. Imagine the embarrassment for the FA if Wembley is practically empty yet the Etihad and anfield is as full as they can get it with the logistics of having screens brought in.
Brilliant Post.
